Frankenstein was originally the B side of the “Hangin’ Around” album, added so its song writer could collect more royalties. However, DJ’s of the time were drawn to the unusual track. It entered the hot 100 at 98 on March 10, 1973 and took 11 weeks to reach the top of the charts.
