    The 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples’ Pow Wow is hosted by the Kentucky American Indian Resource and Community Center (KAIRCC). You’ll enjoy an Intertribal pow wow with invited drums and dancers with dancers showcasing different types of traditional and social dance.

    You’ll also enjoy activities including music, dancing, native artists and vendors while learning about the Native American culture. Native food vendors will offer a variety of traditional foods, including Fry Bread, Navajo tacos, Corn Soup, Wojapi, and more.

    Grand Entry will take place at 12 p.m. Experience this vibrant ceremonial procession of honored dignitaries and dancers in traditional regalia. All dancers are welcome into the dance arena and the event features Luck of the Draw for dancers.

    • Invited Drum: Rattlesnake Mountain
    • MC: Buffalo Yellowbird

    Admission will be collected at the event by KAIRCC.

    • Adults: $7
    • Veterans: $5
    • Children over 12 years of age: $5

    A fun, free afternoon for the whole family. Meet at the Haycraft Trailhead, directly across from the Justice Center. Parking at that lot is limited, so we suggest parking behind the Justice Center. The afternoon begins with a talk and show-and-tell at Haycraft Mill Park (the meeting location), followed by a hike out to Buffalo Lake to pull in traps. Total walking distance is approximately one mile (a half-mile out and a half-mile back). This event is sponsored by First Presbytarian Church Elizbethtown Nurture Nature Team.

    About 2026 Broadway production

    Annie is a classic musical based on the comic strip “Little Orphan Annie” about a tenacious, red-headed orphan in 1930s New York City who, despite a “hard knock life” under the cruel Miss Hannigan, finds hope in tomorrow and eventually charms billionaire Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, leading to an adventure to find her real parents, uncovering villains along the way and discovering that family can be found in unexpected places.

    The show features classic Broadway songs such as “Tomorrow,” “Maybe,” “Easy Street,” “Little Girls” and more.
