With more than 100 displays, the City of Elizabethtown’s Christmas in the Park is for everyone to enjoy again and again. An illuminated roadway will guide you through this beautiful spectacle of Christmas spirit. In its’ 30th year, the event has grown exponentially offering a variety of ways to enjoy and celebrate Christmas. The lighting tour is free to drive through but donations are gladly accepted. All donations go towards the electricity costs and adding in new displays and updates each year. Stop in to see your Christmas faves from Rudolph, to Christmas themed Star Wars, nativity, and more.

    When: Christmas in the Park will be open every evening from November 25, 2020 – January 1, 2021 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.

    Where: Enter the main gates at Blue Heron Way, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.

    How: Turn off your headlights when prompted by the sign, tune into the posted radio station, and slowly drive through the park. Bring along your favorite holiday cocoa, roll the windows down and watch as the children’s eyes sparkle at the lights.

  • Food Pantry

    Details

    Food Pantry is part of the community outreach at Memorial United Methodist Church. They acquire donated food and USDA commodity distribution (government provided). Food Pantry takes place the Second Saturday of each month from 7:45 AM until 11 AM to distribute. We cherish volunteers of all ages from Pre-School to Seniors. We have a place for everyone!

    Recipient Requirements: At our Food Pantry we provide two types of food boxes, a Memorial Box and a USDA box.

    • Memorial Box: There are no restrictions or requirements in order for you to receive a Memorial Box. All persons who come to the Food Pantry and ask for a box are eligible for a Memorial box regardless of your income or where you live.

    Food Pantry is part of the community outreach at Memorial United Methodist Church. They acquire donated food and USDA commodity distribution (government provided). Food Pantry takes place the Second Saturday of each month from 7:45 AM until 11 AM to distribute. We cherish volunteers of all ages from Pre-School to Seniors. We have a place for everyone!

    Recipient Requirements: At our Food Pantry we provide two types of food boxes, a Memorial Box and a USDA box.

    • Memorial Box: There are no restrictions or requirements in order for you to receive a Memorial Box. All persons who come to the Food Pantry and ask for a box are eligible for a Memorial box regardless of your income or where you live.
    • USDA box: In order to receive a USDA box you must meet certain requirements. USDA distribution requirements include residency in Southern Hardin County and income requirements presented at the door.
