    7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

    Details

Having to cancel their spring show last year due to COVID-19, the Heart Of Kentucky Men’s Chorus is pleased to announce their summer show will be performed outside, July 24th at 7:00PM, in the Emerald Cathedral Amphitheater. The amphitheater is located at the junction of Freeman Lake Trail and the Pirtle Nature Trail behind First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Pear Orchard Road. Parking is available at the church, and the short walk is handicap accessible all the way to the theater. Additional parking is available at Grace Heartland Church.

The show is free to the public. As in past years this event is a fundraiser for the Living Waters Guatemala Partnership, a project of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club and First Presbyterian Church. Home baked goodies and drinks will be available at a concession stand, and freewill, tax-deductible contributions will be accepted.

The acoustics at the Emerald Cathedral are ideal for acappella singing.  Voices are easilyheard on the back rows without the need for amplification.  The forest canopy and cool breezes coming offFreemen Lake make conditions perfect for evening summer concerts.  In the event of bad weather, the show willtake place in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church.

Everyone has struggles. No one is immune. We struggle with hurts from our past and our present. We have tons of regrets and bad decisions that we wish we could go back and change. Most of those regrets and bad decision are tied to relationships which have become broken. We wish we could repair all of those broken relationships. Add to this, we have a sinful past that we have tried to run from. All of this weighs us down and we have a tendency to develop destructive habits. These can be addictive behaviors, avoidance, depression, fear, anxiety, worry, risky behaviors and a host of other hang-ups that keep us from healthy relationships. We wish we could fix ourselves, but we can’t. Others have tried to fix us, but they can’t. What can we do? Where can we turn?

When we get to that low point of hopelessness, CELEBRATE RECOVERY E’TOWN is where you want to go. CR (Celebrate Recovery) is a Christ-centered, biblically based recovery ministry that will point you to the HELP, HEALING and HOPE for which you’ve been looking but have not found. You will find the healing God has been trying to show you for so long in the 8 Recovery Principles and the 12 Biblical Steps to recovery in your life. God wants you to experience His grace and the encouragement of others who have successfully walked the road to recovery in their lives. We will walk with you on your road away from the hurts, hang-ups and habits of your lives and into healthier godly relationships with other believers in Jesus. Come and join us at Celebrate Recovery E’town.
