Authorities were able to locate the missing 12 year old boy with Autism this morning. Hardin County Emergency Management spokesperson Bryce Shumate wants to think the surrounding counties fire departments, Kentucky State Police, Elizabethtown Police Department, the American Red Cross and everyone else who helped search. The family appreciates everyone’s help in finding Caleb.

An Elizabethtown man was assaulted with a firearm last week. Elizabethtown Police responded to the victim, who was in Hardin Memorial Hospital, who advised that he was allegedly assaulted and robbed at a residence on Glencrest Avenue. The victim described his assailant as an African American man with dreadlocks and a chinstrap beard.. EPD served a search warrant for the home and found large amounts of money, guns, and marijuana. A man matching the victim’s description was also found during the search. Another suspect confessed to the crime and admitted that the other man, later identified as Hakeem Randell, has struck the victim with the butt of an Air-soft Assault Rifle. Both suspects have been arrested.

The Bardstown shooting victim killed over the weekend has been identified. 17 year old Christopher “Chris” Metzger was shot and kill. Police say the name of the shooter is being withheld because he is a minor.

A fourth person has been charged in connection with a Hardin county murder.  Radcliff Police say 21 year old Temorris Davis was taken into custody Tuesday.  The other three suspects, Tyler Lawrence, Elijah Barnett and Donyale Jones were arrested over the weekend. The four admitted to setting up a drug deal with 25 year old Lashard Harrison last Wednesday where they ended up shooting and killing him.  They are lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.

A portion of the interstate in Hardin County was shut down yesterday morning. The crash happened about 7:00 Thursday morning and all lanes were reopened at 11am.

Hardin County Veterans Treatment Court has scheduled it’s graduation ceremony. The event will take place May 30th at 2pm. The Hardin County Justice Center will host the ceremony, which is to celebrate the Veterans who made it through the VTC Progam. In this program, Veterans in the Criminal Justice System are treated and rehabilitated for problems such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and anger issues.

Elizabethtown is expected to have over 18,000 visitors this weekend. With the BBQ, Blues, and Bikes Festival starting tomorrow morning there will be road closures from 9am until 10pm. Roads that will be closed: 31W from North Miles to Central Ave., US62 (Mulberry) from Poplar to College St., North Main ST. will be shutdown at Poplar, South Main St. will remain open. Also expect a lot of traffic through Elizabethtown due to other activities happening. More information about these events can be found on the City of Elizabethtown Government Facebook Page.

The Knox Regional Development Alliance announced a new Vice President Thursday. Beth Avey has been named the Vice President for Operation. The KRDA was established in 2016 with a mission to protect and promote Fort Knox to increase its economic impact. Avey will start her new role August 1st.

The Kentucky State Police will have checkpoint searches on Memorial Day. KSP wants everyone to enjoy their holiday, but also wants to make sure everyone is being safe and responsible.

Primary results from last night: Democrat Andy Beshear will face Republican incumbent, Governor Matt Bevin, in the General Election on November 5th. Secretary of State will be Heather French Henry against Michael Adams. For Agriculture Commissioner: Robert Conway against Ryan Quarles.

The American Red Cross is seeking donations of a specific blood type. Type-O blood is in high demand all over the country due to its multiple uses.

Hodgenville has a new Deli and Bakery. 4 Scores Deli is the newest business in downtown Hodgenville. Owner, Eric Cecile likes the thought of serving locals with local production. 4 Scores is closed on Tuesdays and is open from 8am until noon on Sundays. All other days of the week, they are open from 6am until 2:30pm.

Hardin County Schools will continue their program to help children this summer. Students will be able to get free lunch at North Hardin, John Hardin and Central Hardin High schools. In addition to the feeding sites at the High Schools, HCS will be offering a more mobile version as well. The FBI is offering a $50,000 for information about the death of an Bardstown Police Officer in May of 2013. Officer Jason Ellis was murdered while attempting to remove debris from the roadway after finishing his shift for the Bardstown Police Department. Officials have started to intensify their efforts in this case as part of Police Week 2019. Anyone with information is asked to call the Louisville FBI Field Office at 502-240-5944.

The Primary Elections are tomorrow. Hardin County’s poll numbers in previous primaries have been down. The Hardin County Clerk’s Office is seeking to change that by offering sides to and from the polls. Absentee voting will take place in the Clerk’s Office. For more information you can call the Clerk’s Office as well. Also because of Elections tomorrow, the office of the Attorney General’s Hotline is available from 6am until 7pm. Kentuckians who witness possible Election law violations are encouraged to call the Hotline at 800-328-VOTE.

West Hardin Middle School has found it’s new principal. Michael Elmore, the current assistant principal at James T. Alton Middle School, has been asked to take the position. He says he hope to continue to grow the culture of the school during his time. Elmore graduated from West Hardin High School in 1990 and Western Kentucky University in 1994, also getting his Masters.

Rehabilitation of the bridge along Greensburg Road over the south fork branch of Nolin River in Larue County is scheduled to begin this Wednesday. This should take up to 60 days. This project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program, which is aimed at increasing at increasing safety and capacity of bridge structures all around the state.

An Event Honoring New Hires In The Advanced Manufacturing Profession Will Be Taking Place In Elizabethtown Tomorrow. Going Pro Signing Day will be at ECTC. Elizabethtown Community And Technical College President And CEO, Justin Pate, Says The Event Will Be Open To The Public, And The College Is Excited To Shed A Spotlight On These Professionals That Aren’t Going Into Something Like Athletics.The Event Will Take Place On The ECTC Campus, And Will Begin At Nine A-m.

The Glendale Springfest Will Be Happening Today. The Celebration Will Be Frequented By Food And Craft Vendors, As Well As Live Music. In Addition, Warm Blessing Soup Kitchen will be there accepting donations. People Can Also Sign Up To Volunteer With The Organization At The Event.  The Festival Will Begin At Eight A-m And Will Last Until 6 P-m In Downtown Glendale.

 A fundraiser for Hudini the I-65  Goat will take place this weekend. Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary is having “Houdini Day” this Saturday. Spokesperson Lydia Stephens says for a donation of $10 per car, visitors can see Houdini and the other animals being cared for. The Goat was injured on the interstate in October and was moved to the Sanctuary in January of this year. Houdini has made a full recovery.
