According to the Nelson County Sheriffs Office, 56 year old Stephen Haynies held his girlfriend and two others against their will for several hours in a bathroom on Memorial day. This led to Hayines allegedly shooting his his girlfriend in the leg. He was then arrested and charged with 1st degree assault and domestic violence. The investigation is still ongoing.
