EPD: Woman arrested after alleged stabbing; barricaded inside residence

An Elizabethtown woman was arrested Sunday morning after she barricaded herself and someone else inside a residence. Police says they responded to a residence in the 500 block of Douglas Alley in reference to an assault with a knife.

Officer Denham says the stabbing victim was taken to Baptist Health Hardin for treatment of minor injuries. Revels was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment, as well as assault second degree. She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.

With Governor’s recommendation now behind them, area district return to partial, in-person instruction

Many school districts in the region welcomed back students and teachers alike during a return to partial in-person instruction this morning. Meade, LaRue, Grayson, and Breckinridge counties all will see students return today after beginning the year online.

Hardin County Schools began the year partially in person. Elizabethtown Independent returned September 14th.

Georgetown man arrested after alleged robbery in Nelson County

The Nelson County Sheriff’s office made an arrest after a robbery over the weekend.

Deputies responded to the Dollar General on Samuels Road after the call that the business had been robbed at gunpoint. Employees were able to provide a description of the suspect, and the suspect was located on Fairfield Road, where a traffic stop was attempted. The operator failed to stop, and a pursuit began. The pursuit exited Nelson County and went into Anderson county, where Kentucky State Police assisted by deploying spike strips, which caused the vehicle to stop. The operator, 37-year-old Anthony Butler from Georgetown was taken into custody and brought to the Nelson County Sheriff’s office to be interviewed. Butler was charged with robbery, speeding, reckless driving, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, and assault, and was lodged in the LaRue County Jail.
