Way to Work – Community Resource & Job Fair

Community Resource & Job Fair on October 1st at the American Legion Post #113 on Ring Road in Elizabethtown from 10am – 2pm.
WAY TO WORK – A partnership between Goodwill Industries of Kentucky and United Way of Central Kentucky, Way to Work provides a network of services to break down barriers that interfere with long-term success. We address the multiple concerns and needs of our participants — who we call “members” — helping them overcome barriers that keep them from finding long-term employment and financial self-sufficiency. Unlike a placement agency or temporary service, Way to Work is committed to helping its members achieve full-time employment with benefits, find stability and improve their lives. With all Way to Work services offered at no cost, members can expect to receive:
• One-on-one employment coaching
• Educational resources
• Job-readiness training
• Financial literacy and budgeting services
• Barrier removal resources and referrals
• Legal advocacy

Escaped inmates recovered

After an escape from the substance abuse annex last week, 2 Hardin county inmates have been found. Jailer Josh Lindblom says the two men, John Thomas Tinsley Jr. And Carl Stevens Brooks, were located and brought back to the jail over the weekend. Not long after the incident last week, Lindblom announced that a jail staffer was fired.

The two men were picked up by Radcliff Police Sunday morning.
