Elizabethtown man killed after incident on I-65

ELIZABETHTOWN (KY) — One person was killed after an wreck on I-65 Northbound Monday morning. Kentucky State Police say a Chevy Malibu, driven by Kayla Jones, struck the cable barrier. That led to a semi swerving to avoid the car, sideswiping another semi in the process. A passerby, Elizabethtown resident Michael Fizer, stopped to assist Jones.

Trooper Scotty Sharp

Jones was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The roadway was shut down for around 7 hours as crews and police worked to gather information and clear the scene. No other details have been released.
