Summer break is winding down, and Hardin County Schools is gearing up to welcome students back this Thursday, August 6.
HCS Community Relations Specialist John Wright said the district is excited for the new school year.
“Our staff is looking forward to creating and building and nurturing lifelong relationships,” Wright said. “Our students and their safety is always our highest priority, and we’ll continue to emphasize our Portrait of a Learner competencies that focus on developing students and the skills they will need to succeed in and out of the classroom and in life after graduation.”
Wright said HCS students will have less screen time this year and more “real world” opportunities.
“Preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students will be exposed to new opportunities and grow each day in our classrooms, so it’s going to be another fun and exciting school year,” Wright said.
