Kentucky State Police have arrested a Taylor County man after a standoff with law enforcement. Around 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 5th, Post 4 Troopers were working an ongoing investigation that led them to a residence on College Street in the Buffalo Community of Larue County. One state trooper attempted to make contact with the individual at the residence, and the person made verbal treats toward the trooper’s life.
Kentucky State Police’s Special Response Team was later called to the scene, and the individual surrendered around 12:30 a.m. this morning.
42 year-old James Deslongchamps, of Campbellsville, was charged with terroristic threatening in the third degree, and menacing and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Larue County Jail.
No one was injured during the incident.
