State Officials and Law Enforcement Recognize January As Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky State Police are recognizing January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month. According to a statement from the Governor’s office, the nation is recognizing January as a time to educate citizens about the signs to help prevent this crime from happening. Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced that his Office of Trafficking and Abuse Prevention and Prosecution launched a new initiative to help combat human trafficking in Kentucky. The H.O.P.E Initiative will aid in mobilizing communities and landlords to identify and shut down businesses that may be enabling human trafficking.
