A Lawrenceburg man was arrested Monday, nearly a month after he was accused of strangulation. According to arrest citations, police were dispatched to a residence off of Darby Woods Drive in Radcliff on December 6th in reference to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found the victim with what appeared to have bite marks and injuries. The victim told police that her child’s father, Dylan Cary, had allegedly put her in a choke hold outside the residence, in addition to biting her several times. The victim says she was able to get inside the residence when Cary attacked her again, biting her again as well as striking her. Cary fled the residence when he saw police lights approaching. Cary was arrested and charged with strangulation 1st degree, as well as terroristic threatening and criminal abuse. He is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.

While most area schools returned to virtual instruction Monday morning, Meade county students will do so today.
The district says they hope to begin in-person instruction for k-6th grade next week, with 7th-12th beginning on the 25th.
With a death investigation now ruled a homicide, Radcliff police have released the name of the man found dead on New Years Eve last week.
Police had initially revealed that Dziekan had knocked on several doors before apparently succumbing to his injuries. Police are still investigating, and ask that anyone with information contact Radcliff police.
Police in Radcliff are looking for answers after a man was found dead Thursday. According to officials, police received a 9-1-1 call on New Years Eve from the area of Illinois Drive.

Area students are heading back to the virtual classroom this morning. Districts across the area are welcoming students back virtually for at least a week before a possible return to in person instruction. Those starting back today include Hardin, Grayson, LaRue, Breckinridge, and Elizabethtown Independent. Area leaders all brought up the same reason as to why schools are going virtual to start off. Districts are hoping that the period will give any new cases of the virus the time to run its course. Meade County Schools, however, will start back tomorrow, January 5th.
