Elizabethtown High School Volleyball Team is Headed to the State Tournament

The Elizabethtown High School Volleyball Team is advancing to the State Tournament. Elizabethtown volleyball coach Bart Catlett stated, “I think we are trending upward and I hope we have a little bit more in the tank, because we are going to need it. I’d like to think we are getting better in the end. We play a very tough schedule and we hope that parlays into the rest of the season for us.” Last night, they beat Central Hardin High School three to one to move on. Elizabethtown Police Foundation has Received a 20,000 Dollar Donation

The Elizabethtown Police Foundation received a donation on Tuesday. Public Relations Officer for the Elizabethtown Police Department, Chris Denham stated, “Our police foundation received a very generous, 20,000 dollar donation from the Schaffrick family yesterday. Their family continues to be one of our biggest supporters and we are beyond grateful. This donation will be used to procure a state of the art driving simulator for the department.” The driving simulator will be the first of its kind in this region. The Elizabethtown Girls Soccer is Headed to the State Championship

The Elizabethtown Girls Soccer Team is headed to the State Championship. Yesterday the team beat West Jessamine four to one in the Final Four to advance. Coach Rob Zoller stated, “With soccer it’s all one class, there’s no classes like football or anything like that. So, if we win this game we are essentially the best team in Kentucky.” The game will be held at 4 pm on Saturday in Lexington at Frederick Douglas High School. The Panthers Soccer Team will be facing off with South Oldham High School. Zoller continued, “Panther nation showed up in force. Last night, they were fantastic, the student section , and the community. Transportation Open House

An open house public meeting to look at future traffic demands and highway needs in southern Hardin County is coming up. It will be held next Thursday at the old East Hardin Middle School in Glendale from 5 to 7 pm. The meeting is intended to address the uptick in traffic in the area as a result of the construction of the Blue Oval SK Plant. The plant is expected to be completed by early 2025. Local Girls Soccer Team is Playing in the Final Four of the State Tournament

The Elizabethtown Girls Soccer team is playing in the final four of the state tournament today. Coach Rob Zoller stated, “About four o’clock today, hopefully half of Etown is in Lexington because we are playing in the state final four against West Jessamine “. Zeller continued, “I think it is important that they recognize the season, especially being such a young group. We should be proud of our kids, and know that our kids are going to be playing for a couple more days, so we know the mission today.”  If they win, they will go on to play in the state tournament on Saturday in Lexington.
