This week we will meet Shasta and Hulk, two dogs hoping for a second chance.

The Kentucky Humane Society with Louisville Metro Animal Services will host the inaugural LOU ADOPTS! mega adoption event to find loving homes for nearly 100 adoptable local dogs and puppies. The Hardin County Animal Shelter along with other area shelters will join together to offer the public a large variety of friendly, loving local dogs and puppies who are available for adoption on-site. Adoption fees will vary by shelter. LOU ADOPTS! Will take place on Saturday, May 13 from Noon to 5:00 p.m., onsite adoptions end at 4:00 p.m. at Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center Pavilion. Admission is free and parking is free when you enter through Gate 4 and mention LOU ADOPTS! Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks and Fair and Exposition Center concessions. All ages welcome!

The first rabies clinic of the year is coming up Saturday April 22nd from 10am to 2pm. The shelter will be set up at the paws united pet expo in Radcliff offering discounted vaccinations for dogs and cats along with the opportunity to have them microchipped.
