Finding hundreds of cats and dogs new Furever Homes since 2017, Furever Friends every Wednesdays at 3:30 PM on Quicksie 98.3 with Adam and the Hardin County Animal Shelter. Furever Friends is brought to you by locally veteran-owned, Pet Supplies Plus, at 209 Towne Drive in Elizabethtown.

We have lots to cover this week so we will only be featuring one dog, Prancer. Prancer is the shelter’s second longest resident so we want to find him a good home soon. We have been doing Furever Friends since 2017 and have featured 470 animals. Of them, we have helped adopt 469!

FOHCAS is offering straw vouchers to keep outdoor pets warm, and the shelter will be holding their first rabies clinic of the year.

Furever Friends #246

This week we will meet Buddy, a 3-year-old neutered male Lab mix. He has spent 3 weeks in the shelter and is patiently waiting for his new family.

He loves to play and would make a perfect partner for dodging snowballs or a steady companion for taking a walk. Buddy is housetrained. He has a birth defect on his nose which only adds to his cuteness!

Buddy sends a special message to everyone listening: “So, good news…I saw a dog today.”

Milo, Dolly and Molly are also still waiting for a new family.

The Shelter will be closed Saturday 12/31 and Monday 1/2 for the New Year Holiday. They are open Tuesday – Saturday this week from noon to 4:00pm.
