Man charged after ATV accident in Grayson Co.

GRAYSON COUNTY (KY) — A woman was killed in an ATV crash in Grayson county over the weekend.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate an ATV injury crash at approximately 1:05 Sunday morning. Investigation revealed that the driver of the unit, Shawn Bryant, along with his wife and two friends, were travelling up an embankment on private property when the ATV flipped. Bryant’s wife, Dana Bryant, was partially ejected, and the ATV landed on top of her, killing her instantly. Shawn Bryant and his two passengers, Seth and Jennifer Bynum, were uninjured. Neither Shawn or his wife were wearing a safety belt, and alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash. Bryant is charged with Manslaughter 2nd as well as DUI.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
