While the state is still in the beginning stages of COVID-19 vaccine rollouts, Governor Andy Beshear provided an update yesterday on when the next phase would begin in the Commonwealth.
Additionally, the Governor announced 1,781 new cases of covid-19, in addition to 23 new virus-related deaths
A Hardin county woman has been arrested after officials found her children alone in their residence. According to arrest citations, officials say the subject, Danielle Ducret, left a note with her children, saying that she would be back at some point, suggesting that she did not care when. An eventual call to officials led child protective services to find the children, ages ranging from 10 to 19, with little food in the residence, as well as no means of communication or transportation. Ducret, who had still not returned after 4 days, was later found in the Fayette county Detention Center. Ducret was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and was transported to the Hardin county Detention Center.
With several weeks remaining, Warm Blessings is looking for more volunteers to assist with their yearly day shelter.
Executive Director Dawn Cash says volunteers will help out with some of the basic operations of the shelter, including lunch preparation, as well as facilitating showers and laundry. Those interested in volunteering can contact Warm Blessings.
2 men were arrested in Radcliff this week after firing handguns from the back porch of a residence. According to arrest citations, it happened on Tuesday, when police received several calls of gun fire from a residence off of Amanda court. Radcliff Police arrived at the location and as they did, heard several rounds being fired. Police then arrested 2 men, Austin Arrington and Jaymz Mellion. Both were charged with wanton endangerment 1st degree, and were lodged in the Hardin county Detention Center.
