ECTC to be Given $50,000 From the Band Metallica.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical college was one of a select few to receive $50,000 from Metallica’s scholars initiative.

The initiative is funded by the band Metallica’s All Within My Hands program, a program that serves as a means to invest in communities to help them be sustainable. The program helps support students, causes to end hunger, and other critical local services.

The new funding will provide scholarships to truck driving students in the college’s workforce solutions commercial driver’s license program as well as students in advanced manufacturing programs.

Changes to Freeman Lake to be Expected.

Changes at Freeman Lake are to be expected in the upcoming weeks after Hardin County Teen Drowned.

Gregory wants to prevent another tragedy like this from happening again by improving the rules that they currently have.

These changes are currently being talked about and will likely be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Director of Communications John Wright says these forms will be sent home with children on the first day of school. They can also be found at Hardin.KYschools.US

Also joining Hardin County in offering free lunches is La-Rue, Grayson, Breckinridge, and Meade counties. For information on what you need to fill out for the free lunches call your local school district.
