The Kentucky Secretary of State’s Office has received a formal request from the office of Matt Bevin for a recanvassing of the November 5th election. This will consist of a check of voting machines and absentee ballots of all precincts in Kentucky. The recanvassing will take place on November 14th. Bevin appeared to be on the losing end of Tuesday’s Governor’s race, being unseated by Democrat and Attorney General Andy Beshear.

The Hodgenville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating witnesses to an incident that occurred in the parking lot of Dollar General. According to Sergeant James Richardson, a man was seen exposing himself to women in the parking lot. Anyone who may have seen this incident is asked to call Hodgenville Police or message them on Facebook.

Hardin Memorial Health has expanded and now offers services in Campbellsville. The new facility, located on 101 Winston Way, will be offering cardiovascular, critical, and pulmonary care services. This came about due to the amount of Taylor County patients that sought treatment from Hardin Memorial.

Hosparus Health and First Presbyterian Church will be holding a non-denominational remembrance event this Sunday at 1:45 PM. Attendees will be able to make a special ornament in memory of a loved one lost this year featuring a picture of no more than three inches in diameter. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by calling Hosparus Health.

Election Day 2019 was yesterday, and the results are as follows: former Attorney General Andy Beshear unseated Matt Bevin to become the new Governor of the State of Kentucky. Republican Michael Adams defeated Democrat Heather French Henry to become the new Kentucky Secretary of State. Republican Allison Ball defeated Michael Bowman to remain Kentucky Treasurer. Republican Mike Harmon defeated Democrat Sheri Donahue and Libertarian Kyle Hugenberg in the Auditor’s race. Republican Ryan Quarles defeated Democrat Robert Conway and Libertarian Josh Gilpin to remain Agricultural Commissioner. Republican Samara Heavrin defeated Democrat Becky Miller for the 18th District Representative Seat, and in the Attorney General’s race, Hardin County native and Republican Daniel Cameron defeated Democrat Greg Stumbo to become the new Kentucky Attorney General. Total voter turnout for the state of Kentucky was around 36%.

The Elizabethtown Sports Park is gearing up to expand its slate of events after signing a five-year deal last Friday with Athletx Sports Group. The two will partner to create new events and expand on current ones to bring more to the Sports Park. More information about the Sports Park can be found at etownsports.com.

Hardin Memorial Health has opened a retail pharmacy in the Bardstown Medical Plaza. This is the first on-site pharmacy in Nelson County. It is a full service pharmacy intended to fill prescriptions for the medical group. This is Hardin Memorial’s second on-site retail pharmacy, with the other being inside Hardin Memorial Hospital.
