Grace Alone // Mindful Minute

How do we ensure our eternal salvation? Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road the leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few will find it.” There is only one way to ensure our salvation. “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. “He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began” 2 Timothy 1:9. “For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.” Friends, the road that leads to life is so narrow in fact that there is only ONE way to endure eternal salvation. It is not by good works or anything that we can do on our own. We can’t “earn” it and we have done nothing to deserve it. It is by God’s grace alone through the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross that we are promised life. If you have not ensured your eternal salvation; If you have not taken the narrow road; I encourage you to seek God’s grace before it is too late. We are not promised a tomorrow, but by God’s grace through Jesus, we are promised eternity.

Sleep Better // Adam in the Afternoon

Springing forward an hour can make it harder to fall asleep on time.  So here are a few things than can help:  Try to get some exercise today . . . skip that extra cup of coffee in the afternoon . . . don’t eat dinner too late . . . avoid alcohol . . . and put your phone away one hour before you want to fall asleep.
