The shelter is still over packed with large dogs so this week we will meet Monkey.
Since 2017 we have featured 551 pets and helped 547 find new furever homes!
The Hardin County Animal Shelter is holding their 7th Annual Howliday Special November 15th through December 20th. They have partnered with Benchmark Family Services to help bring the foster kids in their care a brighter holiday while also trying to get shelter pets into forever homes. The shelter is offering half off all adult dog adoptions when you bring in a new children’s toy or gift card valued at least $20. With your donation, dog adoptions are just $45! They will still receive their normal vetting including their spay or neuter and microchip. In order to receive this discount, you must donate a gift of at least $20. Toys are nice for the younger kids and gift cards are appreciated for the older kids so they can pick a gift they would enjoy. The Hardin County Animal Shelter is located at 220 Peterson Drive in Elizabethtown. Call 270-769-3428 with any questions.
It’s getting pretty cold outside and it’s best to bring your pets inside but if you can’t and you are a Hardin County resident and are in need to assistance in keeping your outdoor cat or dog warm, the shelter still has vouchers for one free bale of straw provided by Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter.
