A Kentucky State Police trooper was involved in a two vehicle collision in Hardin County on Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:10 p.m., KSP Post 4 received information of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Ring Road and Gaither Station Road. According to Trooper First Class Scotty Sharp, the preliminary investigation revealed that Trooper Cameron Wright was traveling east on Ring Road. A 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, being driven by 18 year-old Melissa Broadfoot, failed to yield and pulled out into the path of Trooper Wright. Both vehicles were damaged as a result of the collision.
Trooper Wright was transported to Baptist Health Hardin for non life-threatening injuries and was later released. Broadfoot and her passenger were treated at the scene by Hardin County EMS. This investigation is ongoing by Sgt. Stephen Oughton.
