Ford Motor Company is bringing 5,000 jobs to Hardin County. Ford and SK Innovation will build two electric battery plants in Glendale, investing 5.8 billion dollars. Governor Andy Beshear says this is the single largest investment in the history of our state. State Representative Jim Duplessis is also excited about what this means.
“It’s going to help us fund schools, help us fund roads and other infrastructure. I am extremely excited. The state is going to invest in ECTC up to 30 million dollars, maybe more to help train the new workers we’re going to need.”
More details will be announced at a press conference at 4:30 this afternoon in Frankfort.
