An Elizabethtown man was arrested after an alleged domestic incident involving a girlfriend.
According to arrest citations, police were dispatched to the residence of Travis England on December 6th, who was allegedly having a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Upon arrival, the victim told deputies what had transpired. The victim stated that around 3 am, England woke up suddenly, and began accusing the victim of stealing his belongings and letting people into his house. The victim fled to the bathroom but England followed, positioning himself between her and the door. England threatened the life of both the victim and himself if she did not tell him the truth, and she eventually agreed with the accusations so he would let her out.
Afterward, the victim found England attempting to tamper with her vehicle so she could not leave. She tried anyway and England took her to the ground, choking her before she managed to get free and drive away. England was apprehended on Thursday, and faces charges of strangulation, kidnapping, assault, and terroristic threatening. England was out on bond after another alleged assault that took place back in November.
He is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
