Elizabethtown Days Inn Fire

A fire occurred at an Elizabethtown hotel this morning. Spokesperson for the City of Elizabethtown, Amy Inman stated, “The Elizabethtown Fire Department responded to a call around 4:30 am, to the Days Inn located on North Mulberry. The preliminary report indicates, the fire was in a void space between several rooms and the fire and the fire spread damaging a section of the hotel. One person has been transferred to the hospital.” The fire is out, and the building has been evacuated.  Hardin county ems is currently on scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The Driver Killed in Elizabethtown Collision has been Identified

The person who was killed in the car accident on Monday night has been identified. Public Information Officer for the Elizabethtown Police Department, Chris Denham stated, “The driver killed in the Monday evening collision that occurred in the 900 block of North Mulberry street has been identified as 77 year old,  Ronald Hawkins. Our most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to his family.” There are no further details currently.

Barton Malow and Gray Career Fair

A construction career field is being held today in Elizabethtown. Barton Malow and Gray Construction is hosting the fair. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with contractors working with the Blue Oval SK Battery Park Project in Glendale. The event will be held at the Pritchard Community Center and begins at 8 am and lasts until 6 pm.
