Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Conduct Second Search For Missing Caneyville Woman

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has conducted a second search for a missing Caneyville woman. “We had received a tip on a possible location of Melvia Roarx back in the summer of 2022. We responded then to conduct a search. We brought some dogs out there to try to look for her and we were unsuccessful. We had to cut the search short because of the weather. We decided to conduct a second search in fall and winter this year, which we did on the 24th of February. We had two cadaver dogs that were conducting the search along with Kentucky State Police, and our Sheriff’s Office and Volunteers. However, during the search we were unable to locate any new information regarding the whereabouts of Melvia, “ said Sheriff Norman Chaffins. The Sheriff’s Office has received hundreds of tips with information since her disappearance and Sheriff Chaffins says his office will continue to follow those leads. “We will not stop looking for Melvia until she is found. Melvia  went missing in June of 2013. She was seen in the area of Richland Road. She was on video at a food mart that day as well.“ Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Melvia Roarx is encouraged to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s office.
