Skeletal remains were discovered by the Bardstown Police Department, Wednesday afternoon at Windsor Gardens Senior Living Community. A media advisory from the police department states that officers were responding to a call regarding a homeless man camping in the woods there. Officers located skeletal remains in the small woody area behind Windsor Gardens and the coroner collected the remains and took them to the medical examiner for review. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Bardstown police or the anonymous tip line at 502- 348-HEAT.
The Elizabethtown Police Department received a grand for their K9. The Vested Interest in K9’s organization has provided over 3300 Law enforcement dogs with bullet and stab protective vests in 50 states at a value of nearly 6 million dollars.
A former probation and parole officer in Bullitt County has been charged with sex crimes. Kentucky State Police say, 51 year old Ronald Tyler of Shepherdsville is accused of rape and sodomy. A warrant was served March 28th charging Tyler. He was also arrested for Official Misconduct. Officials say more details will be released after the case is presented to the Grand Jury.
The Larue County Fair has come to an end. The stockholders and board members met last last night at a special called meeting. A motion was made to ” lock the gate, turn off the electric and water: at the fairgrounds. Efforts are being made to arrange a 3 or 4 day 4H, FFA, and Open Show for those wanting to compete at the state level, but no details were finalized. A meeting will be held April 11th at City Hall to decide the future of the fairgrounds.
