Each day, it seems the state of Kentucky is setting new records when it comes to covid-19. The state announced this weekend just over a combined 4,700 newly confirmed cases of the virus, increasing the already growing surge in communities.
As of Sunday, the state is showing a positivity rate of nearly 9%. 14 deaths were reported statewide over the weekend. Lincoln Trail Health officials announced 284 cases on Friday: 132 from Hardin, 30 from Meade, and 19 from LaRue county.
