A Hardin county woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly stabbed her husband and poured boiling water on him.
According to arrest citations, upon arriving to the scene, the victim was standing outside holding a towel to his chest. The victim appeared to have severe burns to his left side and chest. He advised he had been sleeping when his wife, Megan Wilson, poured boiling water on him. When the victim attempted to get out of the bed to escape Wilson, she stabbed him in the center of the chest with a large knife she had also been holding. The victim managed to get to a neighbor’s house to call 911. Wilson was apprehended, and had a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. The knife was located sitting in water, in what officers concluded may have been an attempt to wash away blood. The victim was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for the stab wound and third degree burns on a large portion of his body. Wilson faces charges of assault and tampering with physical evidence. She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
