More details have been released after a shooting in Elizabethtown late last week. Shadrack Peeler has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts attempted murder. The victims in last Thursday’s shootings have been identified as Cherie Turner, age 34, of Elizabethtown, who was found deceased in the 200 block of Warfield Drive, Subash Ghale, age 40 of Elizabethtown, who was pronounced deceased at the gas station at 600 North Miles Street, Prayash Baniya, age 31 of Elizabethtown, who was found with critical injuries inside the gas station at 600 North Miles Street, and Nadia Hamilton, age 34, of Elizabethtown, who was shot outside the gas station and then left for a nearby park to call for police assistance. Baniya is still hospitalized in stable condition, and Hamilton has been treated and released.

Kia Water, age 34 of Elizabethtown was charged with assault, 2nd degree and the victims in stable condition at University Hospital in Louisville.

John Hardin men’s basketball team remains undefeated as they won the district 17 tournament over the weekend, beating Central Hardin 63-48 for their third straight championship. They are set to visit Hart County at 8:30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, 2-26-2019). Hart County is hosting the 5th Region, Regional Tournament this week. For the Ladies, the Elizabethtown High School women’s basketball tam captured their 14th consecutive district title over the weekend. The Lady Panthers beat Central Hardin 74-38 and Whitney Hay had a game-high 20 points. They Lady Panthers find out who they play this week.
A new bakery has opened in Radcliff. The Gathering, had a grand opening over the weekend. The new location is at 728 Knocks Boulevard and is open from 7:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday’s they are open from 8am until 2pm.
