New management of the Elizabethtown sports park is set to be announced tomorrow (Wednesday). A press conference to name the firm will be held at 10:30 at the facility. As previously reported, tourism and city officials agreed to seek out a third party for the park last spring. The park cost the city approximately 1.2 million dollars to operate in 2017.
Police are investigating after reports of credit card fraud at several stores in Elizabethtown. Pictures of the suspect have been posted to EPD’s social media pages. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
A man accused of murder in Hardin County is set to appear in court today. 20-year-old Joseph Capstraw is accused of the beating death of Amber Robinson in July. Authorities say the two met in Georgia before traveling to Elizabethtown. Capstraw is set to go on trial later this year.
Kentucky driver’s licenses are changing this year. The real id enforcement requires licenses to have new security features.
The Hardin Circuit Clerk’s office is expected to have the new identifications available beginning March 25. The enforcement of the real id act begins nationwide on October 1, 2020.
