Free:  Showing a documentary HERE. IS. Better. on PTSD at the American Legion on Saturday 17 January. Doors open at 4:30 movie begins at 5:00 pm

The award-winning film HERE. IS. BETTER. documents the inspiring journeys of two men and two women Veterans going through treatment for PTSD.
Veterans featured in the film include, a rising star in the Democratic party who shocked many when he left political life to seek treatment; a Vietnam War Veteran still haunted by events that occurred over 50 years ago; and two women Veterans receiving treatment at the Cincinnati VA Trauma Recovery Center, run by global PT The mission is PTSD awareness and the treatment programs that are available. If by showing the film and talking to individuals that are suffering from PTSD or believe they suffer from PTSD gets one person into treatment and prevents them from committing suicide it is well worth the time, effort and money spent.
It is time to let communities know there is no reason to be embarrassed by asking for help with PTSD. What is tragic is when the family has to cope with a loved one’s suicide because no one would admit the person was suffering with PTSD.
