The surge in new cases has resulted in public heath resources being strained. The Lincoln Trail District Health Department is taking steps to prioritize their efforts for maximum impact. All new COVID-19 cases will be contacted by the health department and provided with written and/or verbal education related to exposure. They are asking new cases to notify all family, friends, coworkers, and others who may meet exposure criteria to self-quarantine for 14 days. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 and their close contacts should not wait on a call from the health department to begin isolating or quarantining at home. Steps you can take to protect yourself and others while isolating and quarantining include:

  • Stay home for 14 days
  • Stay away from people you live with, use a separate bathroom if possible
  • Do not go to work or school
  • Ask friends or family to bring grocery, medicines, or supplies
  • If you need support or help, call you healthcare provider
