With Elizabethtown, Hardin, LaRue, and Grayson counties already making the announcement of NTI last week, another school district has moved to online learning, at least for today. Meade County Schools announced late last night that virtual instruction would take place today. The district cited a lack of bus drivers and district quarantines as a cause for the move. Breckinridge County Schools, on the other hand, announced last week that they would continue on with their A/B schedule for students of the district. The district had only transitioned to NTI for one school, Hardinsburg Elementary, last week.
The accelerated rise in covid-19 cases has led health departments to deploy new strategies when it comes to contact tracing.
Lincoln Trail Spokesperson Terrie Burgan says information about the quarantine process can be found on the department’s website. As previously reported, the district saw 92% of their total cases in the month of October.
With a higher demand for food supplies this year, Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland and the Cecilian Bank are kicking off a unique food drive today. In addition to in-person drop off locations, a virtual food drive will also take place.
Bank locations in Hardin, Grayson, and Meade counties are participating.
