April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and on the 25th, National Denim Day is recognized. This day was originally triggered by a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court, where victims case was overturned, because the court thought her jeans were too tight. Denim day is a campaign to prevent sexual violence through education and public awareness. Denim Day is a call to action for all people to come together by wearing denim, as a visible sign of protest against sexual violence.

The City of Vine Grove is showing pride for their town by painting the historic caboose. Mayor Pam Ogden says this is a great way to bring a new life and look to the city.

Bernheim Forest has partnered with leaders in the bourbon industry to bring awareness to sustainable clean water practice in the forest and in our neighborhoods. Bernheim Forest and Jim Beam will work together for five years on clean water education programs and projects.
