The Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that happened yesterday evening on West Poplar Street, in Elizabethtown. Officials say a pursuit took place and ended on HWY 84 in Larue County. The suspect was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition. The incident started around 6PM Tuesday. Trooper Peter Binkley. No other details have been released at this time.

A well-respected Breckinridge County community member is being recognized today. Homer Gray Jr. will receive the Beacon of Light Award today. The award will be giving at ECTC at 1:30pm.

The Hardin County Fiscal Court approved funding for road resurfacing in the county. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, was awarded roughly $550,000 for this project.

The American Red Cross is still facing emergency blood needs. There is currently a severe shortage of type O blood. Location for blood donations can be found at redcrossblood.org

Hardin County School buses are monitoring drivers who do not obey their stop signs. Spokesperson John Wright said there are about 50 drivers per week in the county that run the stop signs or rush the stop signs while the buses slow down. Violators have been logged and they will be prosecuted.

Next time you buy honey, look for the certified Kentucky Stamp to avoid purchasing honey that is misrepresented as regional honey. Representative for the Kentucky Beekeepers Association wants to use their spring meeting as an opportunity to educate Kentuckians about honey fraud. The meeting is March 30th, 8:30am-4:30pm.

The National Weather service is issuing a statewide Tornado Drill Wednesday, March 6th at 10:07am. Hardin Countians are encouraged to sign up for “Rave” a mobile safety system.
