ELIZABETHTOWN POLICE CHIEF JAMIE LAND HAS ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT. A STATEMENT FROM THE CITY SAYS THAT LAND’S RETIREMENT WILL BE EFFECTIVE JUNE 1ST. LAND HAS BEEN WITH THE DEPARTMENT IN MULTIPLE CAPACITIES SINCE 1998. HE WAS SWORN IN AS CHIEF IN 2017 AFTER TRACY SCHILLER RETIRED FROM THE DEPARTMENT. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

AN ELIZABETHTOWN  MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER BREAKING INTO A HOME WEDNESDAY, CAUSING ELIZABETHTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE ON A SOFT LOCKDOWN. OFFICER CHRIS DENHAM SAYS KEITH FACES 3 COUNTS OF BURGLARY FROM BOTH INCIDENTS.
