Whooping cough has been observed in Hardin County. The Lincoln Trail Health Department has seen a slight increase in confirmed cases of protusess, this year. Health department official Terry Bergen says that people should cover their mouth and nose when sneezing, and should always wash their hands. Bergen says the best way to prevent the illness is to get a vaccine.

Local officials have announced a final placement for Houdini the goat.
Deputy judge executive Daniel London said the goat will be at Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary in Guston. Houdini was removed from i65 after being injured in October.

The lion’s club will host their annual spaghetti dinner today (Friday).

A chemical spill shut down I-65 in Bullitt County last night. The Kentucky transportation cabinet says that a commercial vehicle carrying hazardous chemicals crashed near mile marker 111 about 6:30pm. The cleanup continued through the night and all lanes were reopened just before 1am.
