Hardin County will see new mayors beginning today. JJ Duvall will reclaim his seat in Radcliff. In Vine Grove, Pam Ogden will replace Blake Proffitt while Jeff Gregory will take over as mayor of Elizabethtown.

Officials hope to soon end a government shutdown as it gets close to entering its second week.

2 people were arrested this week after police conducted a search warrant in Radcliff. According to arrest records, police arrived at a residence on Millcreek road in Radcliff Saturday night. When officers arrived, one suspect attempted to flee from a window the residence while another attempted to leave in a vehicle. Both were apprehended. 2 men, Seth Smith, and Daniel Lamm were charged with fleeing and evading police. Lamm was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Hardin County detention center.

A Bullitt County woman was charged over new years for providing alcohol and marijuana for more than a dozen minors. Media sources indicate that 36-year-old Lindsey Lewis was taken into custody early yesterday morning after police responded to the home in Mount Washington. Authorities say there were over 40 people at the party and that bottles of alcohol were visible upon their arrival at the residence. Lewis faces 14 counts of engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor. She was held in the Bullitt County detention center.
